Well we headed East for this day of Geocaching so that we could drop off a travel bug, a toy voyager and some geocoins!  We headed up towards the place where my Mom is from so I was fairly familiar with the area.  Plus the kids were excited to head over the border into Wyoming.

Onto the caches!

#1: Wanship Trailhead  40° 48.823 N 111° 24.178 W.  Cameron found this one in a very windy spot!  There are a bunch of caches along this trail but it was too cold to lug the baby around so we didn’t.  We went here and there while staying in the car.

#2: Fishing by the River.  40° 48.772 N 111° 24.061 W  I found this cache right next to one of my favorite little fishing holes on the Weber River.

#3: Hoytsville.  40° 52.444 N 111° 22.820 W.  Leatha is getting good at finding these little tiny caches!

#4: Hoytsvilles quiet place.  40° 52.487 N 111° 22.506 W.  Hidden very well but we found it!  Good thing that we watched some videos on You Tube and got some hints…

#5:  Got Gas?  40° 54.660 N 111° 24.297 W.  Why yes I did!   Leatha still found this one easily.  she is getting quite the tally of Caches.

#6: Old Rail Coalville.  40° 57.734 N 111° 24.785 W.   A small cache but Dad found it!

#7: Trails End.  40° 58.123 N 111° 25.851 W  This one was fun!  Amelia found the ammo can and we got another geocoin to move!

#8: Historic rail trail bridge.  40° 58.240 N 111° 26.137 W.  Leatha found this one after we had looked for a few minutes.

#9: Another Echo.  40° 58.240 N 111° 26.137 W.  Leatha found this one as well, even though the container was lame.

#10: The Echo, Echo, Echo.  41° 00.57 N  111° 22.854 W.  Dad found this one on one of those informative signs that you never really get the chance to read from the freeway.  Found a cache and learned some stuff as well!

#11: Dino-Cousin.  41° 15.872 N 110° 58.898 W.  Cameron found our first out of state cache!

#12: Bear Cache.  41° 16.176 N 110° 57.434 W.  Dad found this one after looking for about an hour, just to find how to get to the building!  It was a very long and convoluted route to get to the position of the cache.  After all of that, we forgot a picture of it.

#13: Border Jumpers- Evanston.  41° 14.875 N 111° 02.684 w.  This sounded like fun, but there was so much snow still on the ground we gave up and didn’t find it.

#14: Davis Wasatch Run Away.  41° 14.960 N 111° 02.875 W.  Another one close to #13 that just had too much snow to find.

#15: Echo Canyon Cross.  40° 59.441 N 111° 247.308 W.  Decided to stop on the way home and found a rest stop with 2 caches.  The first was virtual and we just found out some history about a Highway Patrol officer that was killed in the line of duty for no reason whatsoever.  Very sad but it is nice that this cross memorializes all of those Highway Patrol officers.  BTW 10 stones!

#16: Echo Canyon TB Depot.  40° 59.446 N 111° 24.343 W.  Dad found this one after some looking.  The terrain was steep but the cache was fun.  We traded some geocoins and a toy voyager for more coins and a travel bug to be distributed elsewhere!  It is fun to see where some of these things travel to.  One we looked up had come from Venezuela!

This was a long day and a bunch of driving but a kick in the pants to cache along the way.
